Now he is on the run, hunted, with no one he can trust except an abused mongrel dog he rescued. With nothing more than a compound bow and a hunting knife, he must fight those who aim to capture him dead or alive and make his way homeward and into the clear. He is a wanted man, with a price on his head. In an effort to avoid the corrupt men searching for him, he travels at night, far off the road, where he comes upon the town of Paradise. Strange story... Nuclear war breaks out one afternoon. Jim, a truck driver sees the mushroom clouds off on the horizon and pulls his rig over to seek shelter in a cave. He emerges nearly two years later (a long time I know to have survived living on a couple cases of pretzels) to find everything he knew has changed. What is even more amazing are the changes that he had undergone while underground. It is actually a pretty good story. It is short, under a hundred pages, but interesting on its own merits.Product details

I didn't know that Frank Roderus wrote post apocalyptic fiction. I like his new series.
Anyone who could live on pretzel's for two years to gain super strength and howl at the moon may be interesting to some but I gotta tell you, it just ain't my cup of tea. Then too all the editorial and spelling mistakes makes you wonder if spellcheck was even ran on it.
FR had penned a novel of the year future where one country starts an underworld war by sending Nuclear bombs to Russia, China and the US. The three retaliate and there targets include each other. Russia wants the upper hand over China and vice versa but both fear the US so they used the US as a target also not knowing that ninety percent of the a nuclear weapons the US has were aimed at China and Russia. This novel is about one of the survivors. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
Really not very good at all. Ludicrous plot.
Good macho, guy's type of story. Reminded me of some 1980's movies I loved growing up. I hope they make this into a film!
I enjoyed reading this book. The story-line was compelling and i liked the character development. I had not read any of the others in this series but I will be checking them out in the near future.
